It just might be there way to either A.) Get Viewers B.) Trash their imaging, so it can make the reporters and the news station more credible or C.) Both A and B.
They just tried pulling one on Kelly Clarkson for not thanking American Idol during her Grammy speeches. Some Entertainment NEWS reports are becoming more like TABLOIDS, now in days, its rather pathetic.

I'd say Mariah would only have to punch Madonna, pin her to the ground then sit on her, then reach down into her ear and scream at a high pitch.
I'd also say that Madonna would kick Mariah in the face, then would take Mimi by the hair and tie then knot her hair up around the flag pole bar.

I could also say that Kevin Federline would come by, Madonna and Mariah would see him, immedeatly solve their differences between each other and take him out. They would probably shove him a baby car seat, putsome kiddie clothes on him, and drop him off at either at Neverland Ranch. Another idea would be to take Kevin in his baby car seat and drop him off at Richard Simmons house with a note saying "Congrats, you won a new baby." Then there's the idea that the two pop queens could just break his legs and leave him ontop of Brokeback Mountain. Or they could hire Lindsay Lohan's Driving Instructor to drive Kevin around town while sitting on her lap. Then the last idea would be to leave him at Ozzfest or the Vans Warped Tour.

And that’s exactly what might happen at the Grammys, where things have taken a rather peculiar turn, according to The New York Daily News.
Thus, Mariah, who is nominated for eight Grammys, "really wanted to open the show with her choir-backed rendition of 'We Belong Together,'" an insider tells us.
Unfortunately, Madonna also wanted to kick off the broadcast — or else she wasn't coming, she's said to have told Grammy producers.
Even though Madonna's smash "Confessions on a Dancefloor" wasn't nominated for any Grammys, the producers gave in. They're said to be betting that her dance extravaganza, featuring the British group Gorillaz, will hook viewers early and hard.
"The producers noted that Madge is a five-time winner," reported a source.
But Carey, the comeback queen who has picked up only two Grammys to date, is reportedly vexed.
"The war between Madonna and Mariah has been going on for years," says a source. "Mariah was also steaming last summer when Madonna stole the show at Live 8."
It's probably good that Mariah didn't do it based on how WBT sounded in her performance...she should have just done Fly Like a Bird. That sounded good.
