The girl group are set to release their version of 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' as the B-side to their upcoming single 'Red Dress'.

In October, Arctic Monkeys knocked Sugababes' 'Push The Button' from the top of the UK singles chart when they released the song.

Arctic Monkeys' 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' this week became the UK's fastest-ever selling debut album.

The LP topped the chart after racking up 363,735 sales in its' first week. That now overtakes Hear'Say - 306,631 snapped up their 'Popstars' album in its' first seven days onsale in March 2001.

'Red Dress' is set for release on March 6.

They are brilliant, everyone will hear who they are this year, definatly the band of 2006. They were only signed to a deal in July last year and due to them posting on myspace.com they soon had a huge fan base and got to number 1 with I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor without any promotion apart from a small tour at small venues and the internet. I recommend buying Whatever People Say I Am Thats What I'm Not, the current UK number 1 album

Yes, very very early to cover them. Pretty risky, but if they can make a good cover out of it (which, honestly, i doubt) it'll be a good move.

I don't like Sugababes but this should be worth listening...

I'm assuming they have to find something to save "Red Dress," since The Praying Mantis they found to replace Mutya pretty much sucks the song into a vortex of hell. Seriously, Ameile or Amerielle or whatthe----everhernameis blows hard.

aren't really that good? don't know who you've heard that from as the band is going to be one of the most talented bands from the UK, the lead singer, Alex, has been likened to famous front men like Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn etc because of his way to write lyrics that standout.

Now now, Arctic Monkeys are myuy bueno, but not as good as Jarvis or Damon on a bad day.

Sure, we finally found the pinacle of BritPop that Oasis and Blur rode through the early 90s, but it doesn't make it better Just insanely catchy.

to compare AM to Blur and Oasis now seems a bit crazy. give them a couple more albums to start even thinking of it.

I don't know how many people here are British but oh well here's the British side of things:

-The B-Side is minimal and really having little focus
-'Red Dress' is doing really well here particularly on video play (I may get round to posting a daily video request chart soon, seeing as we not only lack a TRL chart but also a TRL)
-Amelle didn't go down well at first but people seem to be warming to her, her performance on CD:UK today was slightly poor but she did look nervous.

And the Artics are great

I heard the Suga version. Not horrible...until the chorus. Good Lord, that was aggravating.
