It didn't take much to get Destiny's Child back to the microphone — just an invitation to the 55th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 19 at the Toyota Center.
In what the NBA is billing as the trio's "last-ever performance," Destiny's Child will sing the national anthem prior to tip-off. The group — Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams — broke up less than eight months ago to pursue solo careers.
This is not the first time the NBA has courted Destiny's Child. The group performed at last year's all-star game in Denver and also sang at halftime during a 2001 championship series game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers.
