I always used to hear this on the radio last year. Why are the US always so behind?

We always get music from overseas last for some strange reason. The same with Alex Clare's "Too Close"

I love this song! But it takes such a long time for new artists to have hits here in the U.S.

Was Too Close from last year? Cause it was available on iTunes here since February/March

Alex's album came out in July of 2011 I think and on iTunes here in the US we got the album in May of this year and then the deluxe version in October of this year as well which was around the time "Too Close" had peaked on BB Hot 100.
