'X Factor' Ella signs record deal

Ella Henderson has signed a record deal with Sony.
The former X Factor contestant confirmed the news during an appearance on Ireland's The Saturday Night Show.
Henderson told host Brendan O'Connor: "Today's the first day I can announce I'm signed with Sony.
"I'm just so, so excited to go into a studio and finally do what I've always wanted to do. I have already written stuff, but I can't wait to write new stuff because I haven't written all through the period of being on that show and I've experienced so much and so many emotions that I never felt before so, it's gonna be really exciting."
She said of the period since her exit from The X Factor: "It's been absolute[ly] manic. When I was in the show I felt like I was under a lot of pressure... It's a tough one and I am young, so I did feel the pressure a bit, but coming away from it I've just had so many opportunities now."
The 16-year-old also revealed that she had doubts about her singing before entering the reality show and would wonder when she would get her big break.
"It's amazing what this show has done to me," she said. "If I look back six or nine weeks ago, nobody had a clue who I was... I think at the age of 16 it's something that a lot of girls and boys want and It's something I thought was so out of reach from me.
"I thought there's so many talented people out here, how am I going to get a break? How am I ever gonna do it? It just shows you never know what's round the corner."
Henderson also talked about performing for the Amy Winehouse foundation, describing it as "an honour" and calling the late star "a massive icon of mine". (source)

She kinda already did. The Syco contract does that.

no record deal with syco was confirmed until this announcement anyway, but yeah you're right. syco is a sony subsidiary.

She deserves it. She would have won if she changed it up a bit like Arthur. But definitely by far best vocalist on that series

it hasn't been specified but it's safe to presume that it is through syco since it's a subsidiary of sony. that said, she might be signed directly to sony cos i'm sure simon cowell will be financially invested in her in some way regardless

so her and jahmene are with Sony (RCA) im almost Certain Union J is with RCA as well.
despite the decline in ratings, this series is snatching 2010's wig with the all the acts getting signed!

Yeah, also syco aren't just them, they borrow £ from stuff. Bad Boys video premiered 'courtesy' of RCA records in 2009 on tv. I found that interesting. Syco is tiny. It'll be a split deal. If they're on RCA I pray the US branch takes them. Cause the UK one is broke as hell.

She has now signed with Sony, that's what I understand. Simon has, I suppose decided to let her go to his parent company.
I think he has recognised she has too much talent to stay with Syco. But I'm sure he made his fair share "quid pro quo"

Nope... Last Year is safe with the most contract signed...
Kelly manged to have Misha & Amelia Lilly signed to Sony (Janet decided to go indie), Tulisa managed to have Little Mix, 2 Shoes, The Risk signed, Gary Barlow managed to have Craig Colton, Marcus Collins signed (Frankie is indie) (James Michael is now a Model, but still try to have a singer career), Kitty Brucknell, Jonjo Kerr, Bradley Jonson (ex NuVibe), Ashley Baptiste (ex The Risk) have released or are about to release their debut single...
13 of the final 16 done something...
This season I'm sure than Ella, Jahmene, James, Kye & Lucy will do something, I hope Jade and the lovely Carolyne too but the rest I'm not that sure... Rylan will go back on TOWIE or will have a TV job... and that's all

you forgot Union J and Mk1 boo. i didnt know a lot of acts last year continued their career after the show. 
only little mix was successful though. Lets see this year.

MK1 for sure will have a career as big as N-Dubz
