You're trying to tell me that Gangnam Stye, Sexy & I Know It, and Call Me Maybe are up for Grammys but the only Grammy win Brit has Toxic for best dance song?

But Britney is extremely overrated. I think she has enough Grammys, "Toxic" does indeed deserve one.
She hasn't released anything else Grammy worthy, IMO.
Who cares, at least she has a Grammy. So many amazing artists who have made a huge impact in the industry never won one (like Queen for example). Or how about the fact that The Wall one of the best albums ever never won a Grammy too.
Well the Grammy Awards have never been purely about talent, but that is not the reason behind Britney's predicament. The fact that Sexy and I Know It is nominated is just plain laughable though. Pathetic.
Times change. Pop is far more accepted in the Grammys now.
Unfortunately for Britney, her credibility with the industry isn't great because she began as the miming bubblegum popstar who for many represents the epitome of the manufactured era, then had a breakdown where afterwards she barely tries and is now a reality show judge.
She's had some great pop music over the years, but many won't see past the above to acknowledge it.
