2012 was the year of the new acts, and the year of mostly failed comebacks.

Which of these 5 super-hyped comebacks was the most disappointing? Biggest critical flop vs. the hype? Worst sales vs. their last album? Worst music? Vote, and list your criteria!

• Xtina - 'Lotus' - After the disappointment of Bionic in 2010, expectations were high for Xtina's musical return. But with lead single "Your Body" failing to light up the charts, and the album winding up a critical and commercial failure, many are disappointed in Xtina's comeback.
  
• Ke$ha - 'Warrior' - Ke$ha has been away from the scene since mid-2011, so some were wondering how she'd fare with her comeback. Lead single "Die Young" has done well, but the album's reviews and especially chart performance have left a lot to be desired. Were you disappointed in Ke$ha most of all this year?
  
• No Doubt - 'Push and Shove' - Their first release in more than ten years, No Doubt's 'Push and Shove' only debuted at #3 with sales of only 115K (a far cry from their previous debut at 255,000) and dropped quickly in the weeks that followed. The album failed to produce any major hits, and with a controversial music video being yanked offline after less than a day, No Doubt have already returned to the studio to record more music.
  
• Nelly Furtado - 'The Spirit Indestructible' - Nelly Furtado's first English-language release since 2006's massive Loose failed to make an impact with critics, listeners, single charts, or album charts. None of the album's singles charted on the Hot 100, and the album peaked at a shocking #79, with sales of only 6,000. Was Nelly the most disappointing comeback of the year?
  
• Girls Aloud - 'Ten' - Britain's most successful girl band reunited this year, but many fans were sad to learn it was just for a greatest hits album and tour, not for a new album. The three new tracks on the GH were well-received and have charted well in the UK, but did you wish it was a full album? Did Girls Aloud disappoint you more than anyone this year?

No Doubt. They were so hyped, then flopped so unexpectedly.

I meant to vote for them too, but I forgot I made it multiple choice, so I went with Nelly's 6K sales

Voted for X because she's the only one on the list I have any interest in. I wanted her album to be good and I wanted her to at least outdo Bionic. But that's not looking too promising. And the album is just not good.

Ke$has album reviews have been better than all the pop girls. And the album is phenomenal.

Remember when You Lost Me was going to save Bionic? It's such a gorgeous song, it's a shame it didn't do what they wanted it to.

I never had big expectations for Xtina, Ke$ha and Nelly.,

But i did for No Doubt, so.. them

I don't think their flopping was unexpected at all. If you look at the market today rock music is basically a non-factor. I don't know why anyone would of expected them to smash. I knew they would be getting no hit singles. However, I guess some could of thought their album sales could of been higher because of their status.

Where was the hype?

Everyone claiming Lotus is a bad album, I'm sure if the album was doing better in sales you'd all be riding it's jock.

I think X delivered a solid album and a solid lead single. Her downfall is that radio won't play her songs; you can argue about it all you want, but if any other popstar was singing Just A Fool or Your Body radio would be all over it. I'm not disappointed with her comeback because she's keeping at it without radio support. She won't have a real comeback until radio decides to start playing her music again.

But no. I couldn't even get through the whole thing twice, so I really wouldn't call it a good album even if it were platinum already.

There are about 3 good songs on it.

Nelly, Ke$ha's can't even be considered a flop yet - Die Young is doing amazing.

Weren't they saying that they were taking so long on this album to make it the most "best" album possible?...

For me, personally, Warrior. I had barely any expectations for everyone else.
