Do any of you old-schoolers remember when I was hyping a band called Deadsy back in 2002? Well, I hope this time around they have mainstream success. They're not on Korn's Elementree label anymore--which has been under low-profile for a good 3 years--they've followed in the footsteps of Adema and have signed under Earache, which is primarily an extreme metal label.
Phantasmagore, their 2nd album, was supposed to come out a few months ago, but now it's slated for a Spring 2006 release...tracks include "Better than You Know," "Asura," "Sands of Time," "Last Story Ever," "Book of Black Dreams," and "Do You Want It All?"
Lacuna Coil, Atreyu, and Glassjaw should break out this year as well.
TRL-wise, I think Panic! At the Disco, The Academy Is..., Eighteen Visions, and From First to Last will be popular (taking a shot in the dark with those last 2, but if Avenged Sevenfold could do it, so can they.)
Also look for Army of Anyone (Richard Patrick of Filter with ex-Stone Temple Pilots members.)
