Kesha, Alicia Keys and Xtina--RCA's top stars--have flopped from the high heavens with new albums this winter, traditionally a period of high sales. The label must be hemorrhaging money, putting an already-strained Sony under extra pressure. So, I've gotta ask, how is RCA gonna dig itself out of this hole?
EDIT: Kesha's US sales projections are in. 80-85k. :/
P!nk, Ke$ha, Kelly and Alicia are all doing just fine. Britney has invested her time lately with Interscope. But I can't say the same about someone else
Ke$ha's doing good in USA in other countries though....

umm honey k$ didnt flopped.. shes doin fine.. her album was out YESTERDAY
In the US, she'll do OK. But internationally, her career is dead. The album is dead in Germany (#74 on iTunes), France (#25), Italy (#48), Spain (#30), United Kingdom (#30) and Australia (#16)--those are some pretty hefty markets. I stan for Kesha, but I can see the writing on the wall.
Kesha won't flop in USA. I think she'll sell 1 million in the end.
WW I don't know. She is doing that promo, but her albums and singles sales are very low so far.

but its k$.. just doin fine.. shes not a WW artist..
Ke$ha is doing decently in the US apparently, she is just flopping in most other big markets. She can improve sales there with promo and hit singles hopefully
Alicia is not flopping dear R&B albums have just been selling yes. She's doing considerably well. Her song is one of the top five songs in the country, her album debuted at #1, and she has loads of critical acclaim this era.
Kesha isn't flopping either. Her song is #1 on US Radio, and her album isn't selling THAT bad.

But 'Animal' went gold in Ireland, Germany and France. It went double platinum in Australia and sold *at least* 100k in the UK (84 in the year-end chart). Does Kesha get a discounted rate from Dr. Luke? That could offset the lack of international sales. And, frankly, seeing as how she hasn't promoted it, RCA probably expected it to flop internationally, anyway.

But Alicia's last album went double platinum in the UK, indicating at least 600,000 copies shipped. (And that was 2010.) Girl on Fire debuted at 15 in the UK. It also missed the Spanish top 10, where her last album went gold. I know R&B doesn't sell as well as it used to in the US, but she debuted with almost 300,000 less copies than TEF on the Billboard 200.
