2Day FM announcers Mel Greig and Michael Christian - who helm the Summer 30 show on weeknights - managed to convince staff at the King Edward VII hospital that they were both the Queen of England and Prince Charles and found themselves connected through to Middleton's private nurse last night.
Pretending to be enquiring after the Duchess's health as she battles chronic morning sickness, the duo got a run-down on Middleton's vitals including some encouraging news that she hasn't experienced any recent "retching".
Ohhh this is awkward, the poor girl. I hope nobody starts blaming the radio DJ's for this though. It was just an innocent prank and lets not pretend that the royal family are anything other than a bunch of rich kids who have for the most part failed to make any admirable contribution to society.
