It's the other way around. Everybody knows Coldplay and Muse are just Radiohead for kiddies.
I agree, Radiohead's music is quite hard to listen too at times one of the things I like about their music is that it's not only creative, but also very challenging for the listeners, and that's what makes them legendary

I think they do a great job of being inaccessible and accessible at the same time, but I understand. I'm not trying to discredit Muse and Coldplay (well, not that much) because I do think they both have their fair share of good material but Radiohead is just the original.
What I dont like though, is how they are held up to such a high pedestal compared to other bands in that era, bar Nirvana. They are a great band, but their fanboys/girls in real life piss me off, and other bands have tried to emulate their style, and have failed miserably. There were other good bands that were right on par with them from the 90s, yet they are largely forgotten, while Radiohead gets all the praise.
