I don't, in any way, respect his actions during the time of the incident or the way he handled himself during certain situations shortly thereafter. However, I do respect his drive to not let that situation dictate the rest of his life.
I like his connection to his fans and I think he's a natural entertainer, but sometimes I wish his music were as interesting/dynamic as his skills as a performer. Sometimes I feel like he acts like a victim, like people are picking on him for no reason at all...but part of me admires him for at least trying.
