Will the next GOP nominee be pro-choice/pro-gay rights?
Think about this for a second. The world is moving forward but the GOP didn't this election. I think there's a serious chance that the next GOP nominee will be both pro-choice and pro-(AT LEAST) civil unions. If they want to win on a national level, they really have no choice in 2016.
There are actually quite a few Republicans who are for all aspects of LGBT rights, but I think it will be quite some time before the Republican Party embraces gay rights on its platform.
That would be a great help to whoever the GOP candidate is, as most people I know who don't like them don't vote for them because of their archaic social policies even if they believe in their economic ones
Nope. They wouldn't win the primary race by any means. Romney had to flip flop so much because when he initially ran the Republican party didn't see him as being conservative enough.
The Republican party would collapse if a national candidate supported gay rights or pro-choice. They will probably shift their attention to blue-collar workers, Latinos, and working women, but I don't see much hope for the GOP considering the Tea Party caused them two senate seats this election.
Isn't Romney pro-civil rights? And they will NEVER be pro-choice sadly smh
He does support some aspects liking extending some marriage benefits to domestic partnerships and LGBT adoption, but he opposes civil unions and same-sex marriage.
