Undoubtedly. The democrats and republicans need to split into two separate countries and see which one thrives and which one dies (not that it would take much to guess...).
Yes, America is very divided - but that's nothing new. The south and central part of the country is so conservative it's unbelievable Anyone who isn't straight, white, christian, and middle/upper class is seen as inferior and not worthy of basic rights.
Too many people in a country that had a disaster of a beginning and never really organized itself.
The fact that people are allowed to vote on other people's rights is just...

Obviously.
That's why we are stagnating, while other countries continue to catch up. The two party system is flawed.

I agree. Sometimes I think a seceding is necessary. Those moving forward, socially, cannot see eye to eye with those stuck in the past. Also, there's such a difference between those who are educated and those who are not.
Oh gosh, I hate political sensationalism and doomsday approaches to everything.
America has always had a 2 party system and will continue to do so. Look at other nations with 2 party systems, it took them years before a viable 3rd party even became a contender, and even when they did, they were weak. The world isn't so black or white, but it's easier for people to compartmentalize things that way
