Today I volunteered to donate blood for the Red Cross at my high school.
They had me take some blood tests, my blood was in
excellent condition, they said.
They had me take a long-ass survey on the computer.

Of course I answered yes.
The worker gets back to me, asks me when my first time was, when my last time was. I haven't had sex in a few months.
They then proceeded to tell me I was indefinitely not allowed to ever donate blood, because I have had male-to-male contact.
Because apparently it's still the (uneducated) 1980's.
Because apparently I pose a potential threat to everyone even though I am completely clean.
Because regardless of them checking everyone's blood anyway, I am still gay and there's nothing that can be done.
You best believe I tore up the refreshments table and stole a shirt afterwards.
