I was wondering if there are any Xena fans here? Whether you like the show, love it, or just don't mind watching it sometimes we need your help if you haven't already. Xena Movie is in the works, but the only thing stopping it is the rights to the show. If you are interested in an Xena Movie happening, I beg of you to contact Universal Studios and ask for this movie. www.universalstudios.com , Thank you for your support....

What's the use? No more Kevin Smith.
Now if they can manage getting Karl Urban back as Caesar, I'll be very interested.

There is an Xena Movie Petition also, if you want to sign it. It's located at
http://www.petitiononline.com/xena/
We have over 24,000 signatures so far. And by the way, the link above for Universal Studios is just the homepage. You have to click on the Contact Us on the right side of the page or click here

And yes, Kevin Smith died not too long after the series ended doing a movie. He was the best Ares. They wouldn't be able to put Ares into the movie, they would have to somehow work around that, if it happens.

Thanks, Everyone who signed this...You will be thanked by many Xena fans around the world, if it happens! What's everyone's favorite season? Mine is season 3. I like the whole concept of Gabrielle giving birth to Hope and everything. Plus you have the rift in Season Three. If you don't know what the rift is, it's "The Bitter Suite"

Didn't she stop acting as Xena because she was pregnant in the last series? Perhaps she just thought it'd had its run and it was good to go out on a high as well, or a mix of both reasons, or something altogether different . I would love to see a Xena move, I can't really imagine it in a movie format and being successful, who knows though. However, if there was backing for it and she decided to it, it'd be great but if she didn't want to for her own reasons I'd respect that. I think it'd be the decision of those with the rights to the franchise and the main characters to decide whether they would want to do a movie rather then just fan support putting the idea forward first but if she ever expressed interest I'd be with it 100% and totally sign a number of petitions lol. I'm just worried that it might end up a second rate sci-fi movie to add to the scores ofcorny sci-fi flicks that go straight to VHS/DVD.
P.S I know it's not really sci- fi it's fantasy and 'cult fiction' but the two generally go together in grouping.

Actually not, she was pregnet in Season Five and she lasted a whole Season Six. She worked her way around the show while being pregnet. Season Five wasn't strong because of this, lack of fighting, but talk about talent. Could you do a fighting show while being pregnet. They gave her a new outfit and all, which sucked. Usually people would end the show based on the pregnancy, but Lucy didn't. I would say that is very talented.

Well what I meant was that she stopped as she was pregnant and that she was keeping it hence it would generally lead to a baby and possibly her wanting to take time off to be with it and the gap in the show for a year or more might affect it . Unfortunately I didn't see the last two series but I heard the last million dollar episode was great. Also, I wasn't questioning series 5 or any of its content or whether she could do stunts while pregnant. Of course though, she did have a stunt double or more. I don't know what her reasoning was staying on til that length in her pregnancy but it's not unusual like you said, most women who work stay right up until the last couple of months. Perhaps she wanted to fulfill the contract or finish the series properly, who knows.
I have only seen her in Tarzan after Xena but I don't know when she filmed that series and I'm not sure what her plans are, what I was trying to say was that because we don't know how she wants and is handling her career and family plans I would only be interested in a movie uf she expressedly said she wanted to do one first, rather then support it and then find out she might not have wanted to do it. Not that it's a bad idea or that a ton of fan support would force it, it's just my take on the idea.

Lucy Lawless has always said she would do a Xena movie. She has a couple movies coming out soon. Like she came out in Boogeyman this year and she has a movie coming out on CBS i believe on Halloween called Bats and then some movies next year. She still does movies and she sings at special events and such.

Ah well then, that is exactly what I was saying , is she wants to do one then I'm all for it. I'd still be a little worried that it would turn out quite bad though

She said she wanted to do it, along with Gabby. It won't be bad. I'm just worried about them getting back into their roles. Can they? It's been a five to six year gap. Can they pull their characters off again. Has for being bad, it can't be. If you are an Xena fan, it can't be bad. Has for non-Xena fans, it might be a different story. No matter what I will love it has long has Lucy and Renee is in it. But people who don't usually watch this kind of show, then it might be an issue. It will still make money. I have a feeling if this does happen, the only people who truly love it, will be Xena fans. I just hope they do it soon, she is reaching her mid 40's already.

I disagree with that abit^, there is a difference between complete utter fans without discrimination and fans who can look at a film objectively. For example, you can seriously love a series, cartoon, comic, book etc and then when the film is made see that it quite frankly, was poor quality. Just because you don't like one part of something doesn't mean you're not a fan, or a 'true fan'. I love Xena and always have, I was even ridiculously happy when I heard they wanted to name the next planet in our solar system Xena, (until I found out it was the tenth planet which is already named and hence would be unfair, and thankfully the scientists agree) and I almost bought Callisto's full and original outfit on auction for an amount I didn't have at the time a little while back - so when it comes down to it, just because I'm open minded about a possible film and that it might not work as well as a movie as it does a series does not make me a non-fan or someone who doesn't watch 'this kind of show' because I am and I do.
