Windy City Times:Watching the “How We Do” video, there were tons of gay friends in it. Rita Ora: Yes, I have loads of gay friends! My best friend, Kyle, actually dresses me on a day-to-day. He is my stylist as well. He’s gay. He’s like really gay—like all-the-way gay. He should have been a girl!
WCT:Will he be with you when he comes to Chicago? Rita Ora: Not this time. I will be with my U.S. stylist. He was with me last time I think.
WCT:Sorry I missed him. Rita Ora: He’s loads of fun. He’s teaching me makeup stuff.
WCT:That’s way more gay than I am! I’m the gay that doesn’t know about makeup or boobs. Rita Ora: Oh, you are the gay that no one knows about.
She wasn't really stereotyping. She didn't generalize any one. She clearly acknowledged that there are different types. The most offensive thing perhaps is that she said he should have been born a girl because he likes girly things, or maybe she meant that he should have been born a girl so he'd be more accepted by society.
She and this stylist are best friends according to her.... So I feel it's right for her to say that... within the constraints of their best-friendship. But if she was just saying that about some random...
pff people are so reaching, I mean I used to hang out a lot with a girl who is lesbian, she ones cut her hair and said herself "now I look like a real lesbian" and we made fun of it, Even an other friend of her who would fit on the stereotype lesbian and is lesbian herself made fun of it, even though others make fun of her. It's all just who surrounds you and what the intention is, if Rita really would stereotype and would be negative about gays in general, I doubt that guy would still be her stylist or her friend.

That's not really the point. I doubt anyone thinks she was trying to offend him. But Its this mindset that gay people want to steer away from. People dont really get what 'gay' is and the thats problem. But whatever. I still dont like ha.

But she admits that there is a stereotype when she says that the interviewer is the type of gay that no one knows about.
