Prince and Lady Gaga combining on The Great Gatsby soundtrack
PRINCE and Lady Gaga have both been lined up to appear on the soundtrack for Leonardo DiCaprio's new movie The Great Gatsby.
Director Baz Luhrmann has already admitted to adding a modern twist to the adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel, with a 3D version of the flick and artists such as Kanye West, Jay-Z and Jack White already on the accompanying album.
Now it seems the Aussie has added the two quirky stars to the line-up of best-selling artists submitting tracks for the feature.
Actress Adelaide Clemens - who plays Catherine Wilson in the film - made the revelation during an interview with IndieWire.

She said: “They have some new music that’s going to be added to the film.
"Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don’t think Warner Bros are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door... I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that.”
The release of the movie - originally scheduled for Christmas - was put back after fears it would suffer at the box office due to fierce competition from other festive flicks including Django Unchained - which also stars Leo - Les Miserables and The Hobbit.

Warner Bros president of distribution has said of Luhrman's interepretation: "It truly brings Fitzgerald's American classic to life in a completely immersive, visually stunning and exciting way."
The movie also stars big names including Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Carey Mulligan.
The Great Gatsby is scheduled for release on May 10 2013.
