The 'Baby' singer is said to be distant relatives of the three celebrities, according to research carried out by Ancestry.com.
Bieber and Gosling are 11th cousins once removed, while he is also 12th cousin once removed with Lavigne, states The AP.
The three stars share a relative in a pair of French-born Quebec settlers who were born in the early 1600s named Mathurin Roy and Marguerite Bire.
Meanwhile, Bieber and Dion are 10th cousins three times removed, and are said to have descended from Jacques Vezina and Marie Boisdon, another French couple who arrived in Quebec in the 1600s.
Ancestry researcher Michelle Ercanback stated that she is unsure if the findings are "sufficient to point to the existence of a superstar gene".
She said: "The great thing about family history is that you never know what you're going to find.
Birth certificates, etc. You just track it... Like, I'm the son of.. and my dad is the son of... etc. You just find records. And this website is "ancestry.com". Thats what they're dedicated to finding out.
