I live in London and there was one here and it was like 2.0 on the Richter Scale but it was still scary Have any of y'all been in one and what was it like and how did you react?
nope. earthquakes, tremors and stuff like that is rly quite rare in the UK. ive heard of it happening once or twice but it's never happened near me id quite like to experience an earthquake but only a small one
Yup, the one in August 2011 on the East Coast. I was sitting in the basement and we suddenly felt like a lot of people were running on the floor upon, but things were shaking and we realized it was an earthquake. Nothing serious though.
Yeah, always feel them in LA. Biggest one for me was a couple years ago, it was a 4. something happened as soon as i woke up, the shades started swaying first and I was confused, but then the whole house started swaying, cabinets opened up so I got up and stood under the doorway like I was taught. Only lasted for about 7 seconds.
NO, but the 7.2 earthquake that took place here in 77' destroyed 1/3 of our capital city. It was so big that we felt it even over 700 km away from the epicenter. So many people died back then, including some of our best actors and famous people. Sad
