P!nk Finds It "Very Hard To Be Around Homophobes," Says It's Not "Gay Marriage, It's Just Marriage"
Quote:
P!nk proved she has the answers to The Truth About Love (also the title of her new BRILLIANT album) during a recent interview with Gaydar Radio.
So, what wisdom does P!nk share in the interview?
Said P!nk:
"I think that the best day will be when we no longer talk about being gay or straight—it’s not a 'gay wedding,' it’s just a ‘wedding.' It's not a ‘gay marriage,' it’s just ‘a marriage.' It's not a 'black man' or ‘white woman,' it’s just 'a man' and 'a woman,' or 'a human' and 'a human.' I’d just like to get to that.
I identify with people that struggle and I respect people that have to fight for their right to be respected. I felt bullied, judged and labeled and I think it’s asinine for one person to think they are better than another person.
Some of the greatest people I’ve met in my life happen to be gay people and I find that very hard to ignore, I find it very hard to be around racist or homophobic people."
Was she attempting to shatter the world record for the sheer amount of perfect sound bites given in a single interview?
(Fast forward to the 3:30 mark for the good stuff)
I lover her. Sounds like the answer she gave sometime ago when she was ask what would she change in the world if she had the power. Her answer was along these lines
