The only explanation I can think of why Carly is below her? Mari Mai may have been higher on Amazon and on physical sales.

Folklore also went #18 in Canada. Both were equal amounts of flop to be honest

I'm guessing Quebec really support their artists then. I don't think she's known outside of Quebec, and all the iTunes comments are in French.

Who is Miroir? I Canadian and I've never heard of this Mirror dude...

Marie Mai was a finalist in Star Académie (Quebec's version of Canadian Idol) in 2003. She was quite popular on the show (finished 4th I believe) and has built a decent following ever since.

I think she beat Carly because of physical sales (fans of her and the show cover all ages and a lot of them prefer physical copies).
