there has to be. literally, there has to be. it's basically impossible to postulate that we're the only intelligent life-force in the entire universe considering there are over 100 billion (100,000,000,000) galaxies in the observable universe alone and theoretically infinite more in the universe we're unable to see

It'd only be a disaster if we met them if our world leaders had watched one too many alien invasion movies. Any civilisation old enough to have created the technology to travel across Universe will have evolved waaay past pointless wars and maybe even weapons of any kind. If they hadn't they would've destroyed themselves long before reaching the point of technology they're at. I.E.: Us in the near future.

There are parts of this universe that we aren't even capable of traveling to or seeing, so to assume we are the only beings alive is ignorant.

I believe there are many planets like Earth out there, much more advanced and some much less developed. Maybe people living like the cavemen still... or people living like The Jetsons. I just don't believe there are life forms on Mars and Neptune and the places we know about, you know what I mean?
