Nicole Scherzigner reportedly fears being replaced by Mel B on The X Factor next year, leading her to prepare to go all out on the live shows! This year’s X Factor audition shows saw a range of guest judges join Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh on the panel, with Anastacia and Mel B both getting plenty of positive reception from viewers. Despite being named the permanent judge, Nicole barely appeared during the auditions, and didn’t seem to connect with viewers when she did. Mel B’s brutal honesty on the other hand won us over, and we would have loved to have seen her as the show’s new fourth judge. It’s now been widely reported that X Factor boss Simon Cowell wants Mel B on the show next year, after her commitments to X Factor Australia ruled her out of this year’s series. “He loves the fact that she’s upfront and charismatic, and she proved herself as a guest judge at this year’s auditions,” a source said. Of course, if Mel does join the panel it means one of the current stars faces the axe, and Nicole is looking the most likely to go. “Simon’s desperate for Mel to sign on the dotted line, he loves how brutally honest she is. If she does [Nicole] will have to face the same failure she did in the US,” the source added. No doubt all this speculation will see Nicole go all out in the live shows to prove to producers that they should keep her! A spokesperson for The X Factor commented: “No decisions have been made regarding next year’s X Factor panel. It’s likely these decisions won’t be made until the end of the current series at the earliest.”

I call this bs though, on twitter and some polls I saw overall pretty positive responses when she was on, it is pretty much all a producers game, Mel B is the one who gets the mixed reviews on twitter and polls, yet they root for her, and the one who actually gets the overall more positive response, is the one they want to go.

It is all obvious they want to have another Simon, Gary and Tulisa know how to speak their minds but still have that nice approach, Mel B has that "my opinion is what counts" thing what Simon also has, which is in Mel B's case more a love it or hate it thing.

I find it disrespectful towards Nicole though, you either sign someone and let that person do it's job and try to approach the other person the next season or you just be satisfied with what you can get. They are hiring someone, don't show much of her, and then say she is the reason the show has lower ratings and make that the reason to bring Mel B fulltime how can that other person (Nicole) even connect and win the public over if you show the guests judges more than her and push her auditions to the Xtra Factor.
