Since the NBA and David Stern handed the Miami Heat the 2012 championship. With that being said, the 2012-2013 NBA season is a little over a month away and I'm SUPER excited to see what the future beholds. Is anyone else as excited about basketball on here as me or am I just weird? I hate the NBA offseason. Five months without basketball drives me crazy. With that being said, does anyone want to make any predictions about this seasons NBA champion, MVP, and any other player awards?

I personally don't think LeBron is going to get MVP again. The same thing will happen to him that happened to Jordan, they'll get tired of voting for him and give it to someone else.

Ch... Kobe's not retiring. He's still under contract until 2014. Then I think he may consider retirement; however, I think the Lakers new Big 3 has a 1 yr window period . I mean Steve Nash is pushing 60 and Kobe is on a steady decline. #PoorDat.

Dwight Howard's out until January isn't he and even after that he probably won't reach his peak level until like a month after that which means the Lakers will be stuck depending on Antawn Jamison as a C for the majority of the season.

Do you mean as a center? I'm thinking Pau will be playing there until Dwight is ready.

Either way Antawn Jamison will be starting at either the 4 or 5. That's terrible.

True atleast they got Nash. I really don't care much for Howard and liked Bynum more as a center but if Howard can get back to his old self than the Lakers are gonna be insanely good in the playoffs.

Dwight Howard isn't that much of a upgrade from Andrew Bynum . Steve Nash is good, but like I said, he's like 60.

Of course he isn't much of an upgrade over Bynum but just think about how Bynum would be impacted by having Nash. The Lakers would be so much better than they were last year. So if Howard can just be at the level of Bynum than its a championship caliber team but that is a big "if". and Nash can play till he is actually 60 his job is to be a great passer I could care less about his scoring and the Lakers never play defense anyway
