sometimes i feel helpless because there's nothing i can do for them from my home, i just can pray for them

I know , once I tried to warn a father on the street that if he doesnt stop abusing his child [it was a verbal and slightly a physical abuse] I will call the police , and it ended up yelling at me and threatening he wud hit me too , after that he broke down and started crying, he started telling this story about how he is struggling with economic issues and some health issues [his mom and dad were sick] . It was really painful to watch and hear , but in the end he thanked me and said he would have done the same, I hope his kid is ok tho , it feels kinda wrong that I finally didnt warn the police , but it ultimately felt great to have helped a child.. u feel so not hallow..

well at least you probably helped the man and hopefully the kid is fine now, it was very brave from you to confront that man in the middle of the street

Tragic thing is , NO ONE stopped to help , they all just passed by. And I wont lie, I thought of just keep walking too , but ultimately I turned..

Very brave of you to do that. You might've risked getting harmed yourself, but you probably did that child a huge favor.

I was shaking all along , partly cause I was afraid and partly cause of that adrenaline rush .. I felt great.. really

I'm sure tons of members on here were raped as kids, it's very common and people need to realize that.

See, people tend to think it happens to few people but truth is, it's very common.
Not necessarily raped, but at least sexually harassed.

According to studies, 1 in 4 girls under the age of 18 are sexually assaulted.

That's a really sad but true thought.
