Gaga & Adele On Vanity Fair Power List
while American Royalty King B & Jay-Z made "The Powers That Be" list, Gaga & Adele made "The New Establishment" list
11. Adele
Quote:
AGE: 24.
Last year’s ranking: New.
STAGE OF GLOBAL CONQUEST: This year, the airwaves belonged to Adele, whose blockbuster album, 21, defied the laws of the modern music business and sold 10 million copies in the U.S.—a feat that had no longer been thought possible—while spending as much time at the top of the Billboard 200 as Prince’s Purple Rain and the Saturday Night Fever soundtracks. At the Grammy Awards in February, the London songstress returned from her performance hiatus—she’d been recovering from a vocal-cord hemorrhage—with a showstopping rendition of “Rolling in the Deep.” She won all six awards for which she was nominated.
CLAIM TO FAME: Britain’s Gaydar Radio anointed her gay icon of the year, over Lady Gaga, Madonna, and George Michael.
FASHION VICTIM: Karl Lagerfeld caused an uproar when he knocked Adele for being “a little too fat.” He later apologized and sent her a batch of Chanel handbags.
NEXT BIG THING: In June, Adele announced that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki, the co-founder of Life water, were expecting a child.

16 Lady Gaga
Quote:
AGE: 26.
Last year’s ranking: 9.
STAGE OF GLOBAL CONQUEST: Gaga’s enormous fan base just keeps getting larger. Her album Born This Way generated four singles that reached Billboard’s Top 10, her Monster Ball tour grossed $227 million, and she has sold more than 12 million digital tracks. Gaga has more Twitter followers, 28 million, than anyone else in the world and in July launched her own social network, Littlemonsters.com, which allows her fans to interact with her directly. business relations: In a keynote address in Singapore, Gaga’s longtime manager, Troy Carter, recently called his star client “a 200-pound toddler” and compared her to Jesus.
ARCH-RIVAL: Madonna, who in January called Gaga’s “Born This Way” reductive, hinting that Gaga had borrowed heavily from her 1989 hit “Express Yourself.” Gaga later remarked that “things are really different than they were 25 years ago.”
BIG COOL FRIEND: Tony Bennett, with whom Gaga recorded “The Lady Is a Tramp” and who has called her one of the greatest talents he’s ever met.

21 hasn't sold 10 million copies just yet, but what the heck, it will soon.

I don't understand what power Adele has though, I mean yeah 21's sales are out of this world and her singles never stop playing, but outside of music, she isn't even relevant
Whereas GaGa... well, I don't need to get started.

Just accept that Adele's higher than Gaga, and Lana is not applicable.

Well maybe on this list, but definitely not in reality, and when did I bring up Lana?

Well, why are you mad and making a comparison? If you know your queen sh!ts then you don't need validation from this list or to discredit someone's else. Adele is higher. Deal with it.
