HTC holding event on September 19th, new Windows Phone 8 devices*likely



It looks like our schedules have just become a bit more cluttered: following Nokia, Microsoft, Motorola, and now Apple, HTC has just invited us to an event on September 19th in New York City at 11AM EST. There isn't much to tell from the invite other than a slightly "Metro"-looking logo at the bottom, but we've been hearing rumors for a while now that HTC is gearing up for some Windows 8 devices. According to those rumors, which pointed to an event in the third week of September, the devices will be available in November. We've previously detailed the company's first expected Windows Phone 8 devices — the flagship "Zenith," midrange "Accord," and entry-level "Rio," but you know we'll be there to cover it live come 11AM EST on September 19th to see if HTC can best whatever Nokia and Microsoft have to show us tomorrow.

Their 'Beats Audio' ready phones are phenomenal. Who needs an iPod or any flop ass mp3 players now?

Anyone who uses those basic stock iphone earphones instead of good headphones/earbuds They wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.

i think beats are overated the the added base in the equalizer/driver makes for awesome sound from a good pair of headphones. ikr.. i question whether i'd miss my music on my evo LTE with beats.

What? Beats audio is all branding, there's barely any improvement over any other music player, if any.

That's because you wouldn't notice the difference with cheap earphones. I clearly notice the difference when using my headphones on both my laptop and the HTC One X (both beats audio) between the iPhone and the Motorola Atrix, which I also own. I had to tweak a while with the equalizer on the Atrix to get similar audio and even then I never achieved the same thing. I agree in that it's mostly marketing though, but there is a difference.

I better buy a Lumia tbh
