I've narrowed my choices down to these two. They're on sale today, free shipping.. both $650 discount.

My budest is 700 dollars. so it's either stay in budget, or pay $150 more for 1000x more power.

Buy a laptop with NVIDIA/ATI RADEON Graphic card
Intel HD sucks

All Intel GMA series are only intended for media playback. They are not designed for graphically intensive tasks like video editing and gaming. They are not even more powerful than any current low-end discrete graphics card.

Never buy a laptop with just integrated graphics. My Retina MacBook Pro switches between the Intel HD 4000 and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB GDDR5 memory which is more than enough for what I do (Photoshop, light gaming, etc.).

Hmm.. this is really making me choose I haven't had sleep in 12 hours just researching for a brand new laptop. And it led me to this Lenovo Ideapad that's on sale for $699. It's got Intel i7 chip, 2.1GHz quad core, but the only thing is that it's integrated HD 4000.

BUT.. there is another one on sale.. its' the Lenovo Y580 with intel i7 chip, 2.3Ghz quad core, and it's got NVIDIA GTX660 2GB. this one is for sale for $850.

Radeon's are good. But if it's a laptop then I wouldn't worry about your GFX, that's only a problem for gaming pc's

Obviously I would get the one with the standalone graphics card, but only if you do things like advanced photo editing and editing videos/gaming. If you just use it to browse the internet and do Word/PowerPoint, Intel Graphics are more than sufficient.

I don't think you should choose Lenovo because although the specs are good most of their laptops are fat and chunky

No ultrabooks.. I just need to choose between those two 2.3Ghz quad core 22nm.. So powerful.

I will get a Surface but the RT only. Im buying this laptop because my crappy Toshiba just failed on me last night. That $300 laptop lasted me for 2 years.
