I would think you would be attracted to someone because they're hot....
not because of what they "claim" their orientation is.

I personally think it has to do with wanting something that you can't have, but it comes off as rather creepy to fetishize(sp?) straight guys imo.

I think it might have to do something with straight guys being more "manlier" then gay guys are. Like, you'll hear some gay guys saying they only want "straight acting/looking guys" to date, meaning not effeminate.
