I've been thinking lately about all of this hype from Ke$ha's new album, and then it suddenly reminded me of Born This Way. TONS of hype after a long break, some by GaGa and some by the fans, but many were underwhelmed when the album actually came (I loved it but).

We've heard a few early, small previews from Ke$ha's new album, like Supernatural and those few clips from the studio. For Born This Way, we got the Scheiße and Government Hooker remixes, which both sounded fresh and creative, whereas the actual songs weren't quite that revolutionary. Even though I'm not saying that Ke$ha is copying GaGa or anything, I might as well throw in that Ke$ha released on album, then an EP, and now a majorly hyped up album, just like GaGa

Some of Ke$ha's producers (mainly Dr. Luke) will tweet every once in a while about the album, or a specific song, or the single, creating more and more hype, but we don't even have a release date yet. I can only imagine the hype once we release dates, album cover, lead single, etc.

I understand that the hype for Ke$ha's album may not be as big overall, but it seems like this forum is dying of thirst for new material. I wish they'd either shut up about it or give us some damn news because I don't know how much this girl can actually deliver.

I'm a fan of Ke$ha and can't wait for new music, but what if all of this hype leads to something not so spectacular?

She'll flop but she was always destined to be a one-hit wonder. I don't think we should worry about it.

No shade but the difference is Ke$ha will actually deliver music that people will love, and she isn't over hyping it like GaGa did to herself.

Well tbh we don't really know ANYTHING. There's just hype because she's been gone for so long. That's unusual in the new world of digital music.

But it's Ke$ha. She can write hit songs in her sleep. I don't think there's any chance of her "failing".

Nope, BTW was the worst album I have ever heard next to bonic Ke$has album will be more mainstream and somewhat generic then BTW..but I love Ke$has music abd I have hope it will be good

Anyway, Hits Daily Double included a song called "Die Young" in their "Music We Love" section today, likely coming soon. The album itself is to come this Fall.

That's not what made BTW so hyped but Gaga kinda sorta shot herself in the foot with that one. She did say that for the fans and the fans only though.

On topic though, Ke$ha's album isn't as publicly hyped as Gaga's was, it just seems that way because the Animal's are really anticipating this release and I don't blame them. I am too!

Ke$ha's album has had no where near as much hype as Born This Way. You can't even compare. Nor does Ke$ha have the same amount of support as Gaga. It's really only her fans who have been keeping track for all of these months, where as almost everyone was eyeing Gaga the whole time. More people are starting to notice Ke$ha has disappeared though, so I guess more of the casual listeners will start to want something new. I don't think she will disappoint. The snippets so far were earlier in the recording process. She's done a lot more songs since than.

LOL I don't think there's much similarity there. Gaga was a global superstar by the time she started hyping BTW up, Ke$ha...not so much. I believe the album at best could pull in "4" kind of numbers.
