Now that Mariah Carey has officially jumped the shark, Whitney has passed over to the other side (Jesus rest her soul), and Celine Dion is off doing god- knows-what, it’s up to Paris Hilton to revive the pop power ballad.
Although Paris has recorded most of sophomore album with club favorites like LMFAO and DJ Afrojack, the musical deity has made room on her upcoming masterpiece for a stunning new ballad. The as-yet-untitled track was produced by MachoPsycho (best known for Pink’s “Stupid Girls” and “Bad Influence”), and penned by David Guetta songwriter Anthony Preston, who
described it as,
“an amazingly beautiful song” and a
“monster ballad”.
Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time that a Paris Hilton ballad has redefined music as we know it. Back in 2006, Kween Paris obliterated Cyndi Lauper’s career when she ripped off “Time After Time” for the breathtaking “Heartbeat”.
