I never understood that. Since I was little I always had two or three best friends and when I said that to (older) people, they were like nooooo you can't have more then one best friend.

You can. But you can't deny having a hierarchy, there's always a favorite who you're closest to.

who ever i end up with, is going to be my best friend.(period) but for the people who have friends, you can definetly have more than one best friend. my sister believes in the 'only one bestie' rule and i think its dumb as hell.

True but then again you have a favorite cousin, a favorite parent, a favorite brother/sister or a favorite relative. Somehow we always have favorites. I do have one favorite but that's only because we have known each other since we were a baby and we went trough a lot together.
