Music is inherently subjective which differs from sporting matches that are more easily judged using certain criteria. So I don't think they can be compared.

Many people work on a record: producers, songwrites, singer ... You can only sing or even get 10 seconds featured in somebody's song and get a Grammy. To get a olympics gold medal you have to put much more effort than that.

This. Don't act like some of these artists haven't trained their whole lives to get to where they are. There may be certain acts who get by extremely easy, but there are even more who have worked and grinded their asses off for years (or even their entire lives) to reach a point as prestigious as the Grammys.

The Grammys definitely aren't as prestigious as they used to be, and the Olympics are obviously a much bigger deal worldwide than the Grammys. But tbh, musicians don't have any other awards show that can be compared to the Olympics. Grammys is the closest, so yes.


Admittedly, music artists do have way more televised awards shows than these olympians, so...
