It was a block of music videos from the early 2000s aired on MTV and you would always see what song would be shown at the bottom of the screen. i remember seeing the pop stars and hip hop stars on the countdown.

Wasn't The Box its own channel?

I always wanted to call, but they charged 1.99 or something and my parents would've KILLED me to call just to see Britney's 'Sometimes' on TV.

I remember this, I was soooooo happy someone had called in Oops I Did It Again when it first came out

I remember The Box (it was on channel 10 and 70 here) and I remember when MTV2 replaced it. I don't recall The Box ever being on MTV.
