And in what ways? Musically? Artistically? By juxtaposing the "avant-garde" with low-brow pop music? (Madonna kind of did this, right? Though one who never refer to her music as trash while Gaga's is constantly criticized) Did she change the way celebs market themselves, the way we view pop performers, live entertainers, stan culture, etc.
Or is she simply a figurehead of the modernizng music industry (entertainment industry?) and not actually RESPONSIBLE but nonetheless representative.
Or have we all forgotten/chose to ignore it because of Queen Adele.
She raised the bar visually which is why you'll see at least 5 people on the red carpet dressed as her and she helped bring dance music into the mainstream. So, my answer is yes.
