Are you a story writer type of person? What kind of genres do you you usually use, and are they fictional or based on true things that have happened to you?
I love writing books. I'm not big on short stories because I usually get too emotionally attached to my own characters to just stop with them after a few hundred words. I've tried a few different genres but I've found that I most enjoy writing paranormal, supernatural fantasy type stories. You have a lot more breathing room than in realism, you know?
I'm currently finishing up a trilogy and and beginning to write a mystery/suspense novel about a young necromancer. I'm only about 14,000 words in so far (a prologue and 2 chapters, basically), but I think it's probably my favorite of mine thus far. I have a section on my tumblr where I post weekly excerpts from some of my works. I'm not a very good writer at this stage, but I hope that maybe in a few years, after I gain some more experience and take some classes, I'll be able to publish a YA series.

That sounds really interesting. I'm the complete opposite. I always get started on writing a book and then I get writers block and I never finish it, or it just doesn't turn out so great. However I'm always working on short stories and it seems a lot easier for me to work on short stories than an actual book. I haven't written anything for a while, but the last time I wrote a short story people seemed to love it, so I might return back to that when I get enough time.

I've love reading short stories and one shots and have always wanted to write one, but I'm just horrible at pacing them. They end up being dragged out and long.
I'd be really interested in reading yours though. You should join a writers community to maybe get feedback and talk to other writers. I've tried a few sites and Figment.com is by far my favorite. The people are all very nice and will always try to give constructive criticism. I like Mibba because of the way the site is organized, but it's a bit more difficult to get feedback there since there is so much going on all the time. I've also tried Fictionpress but I don't understand how to use it. DX
I don't know. You should try one of those sites out. And let me know if you ever do. I'm on all of them (minus fictionpress...like, I have an account, but I never log on because I've given up on the site DX).
I'd love to read your work
I write some short stories. Right now i'm working on a story with 15-20 chapters. Depends if i don't get writers block. I think my stories are all about love. Though this one i'm working right now is a little darker than any of my other stuff...
I write fanfiction. I can't just write a short story...I always have to finish it and keep pushing until it's completely finished. I'm into Action/Adventure, Manga, Sci-Fi, Humor, Fantasy, and a little drama. I'm getting to start working on a Manga type fic right now...I just need to pen together some ideas first.

I was going to post one of my short stories in a blog here, since I didnt' know how to get it out there. I tried fictionpress but it didn't work out for me either hopefully though I get back to writing, I've just been too busy and I've had a bad case of writers block, I would love to read your work as well

Most of my stories are about heartbreak and dealing with depression, my stories rarely have to do with happy endings.

I write mostly about love, heatbreak, etc that sometimes is based off of what I have been through.
I use to write and produce segments for a magazine TV Show every Sunday. But I quit after a year. I miss my job though and planning to be back maybe 2 years from now.

That sounds like a really interesting job, did you enjoy it?

I remember when I wrote a similar story to that when I was around 14 about how a girl died because she was doing ballet and she broke her toes, so to catch her balance she grabbed onto the tv which ended up falling on her

Yes. It was enjoyable and very challenging. From conceptualizing, writing scripts and spiels for your hosts, to directing the shoot, and editing. It was really a hard work. But the pay is not that good and I am the breadwinner so I quit and look for a job with a higher pay. Right now Im in a BPO.

I always used to say why have a career that you will never get to enjoy. What's a BPO?
Its about a man who loses his wife and daughter in a car accident (supposedly ). He later finds the gateway to (another world not yet named) and blah blah blah.....
