TARA Reid has been hospitalised after partying in the south of France.

The American Pie star was taken to hospital in Nice several days ago after suffering stomach pains and is being treated for Acute Pancreatitis.

According to reports, her condition is not life-threatening but she will stay for a few more days to recover.

Last week the 36-old was pictured in a chavvy tracksut, holding her stomach.

She had spent the days before her illness partying on private yachts in St Tropez, and checking out the town's nightlife.

Tara has fought a long battle with alcohol addiction, entering rehab programmes in 2009 and 2010.

After one stint she said: "It was definitely worth it.

"Rehab saved my life. Before I used to think about tomorrow and I hated it.

"Now I can't wait because I am clean and sober and I am excited."

Acute Pancreatitus is a painful condition which is caused by the body eating away at the pancreas, causing high temperature, vomiting and diarrheoa.
