According to The National Enquirer, Beyonce became "suspicious" of Kim's intentions after the onetime sex tape star purchased a $5,000 "gold name bracelet with pink and white diamond studs" for Blue Ivy Carter. Bey was originally touched by the gesture, but then she saw that the bracelet had been engraved: "Love Auntie Kim."
"She thought it was over the top, considering that she's known Kim personally for such a short time," a "source" tells the mag. "Despite Kim's sex tape and bad marriages, Beyonce had been warming to her based on her charming demeanor and romance with Kanye [West], who's a good friend. But she certainly doesn't consider Kim family in any way, shape or form—and for her to suggest that close*ness in a present for Blue Ivy really put Be*yonce off."
Is this why Beyonce snubbed Kim at the BET Awards? The two had looked friendly last week at one of Kanye and Jay-Z's concerts, but then over the weekend Bey allegedly wouldn't talk to Kim at the BETs. Or maybe she finally realized that being friends with someone who's such a shameless, narcissistic fame***** is hurting her image. Whatever the reason, although the two had been spending time together on the "Watch the Throne" tour, Beyonce "is beginning to feel uncomfortable" around Kim—and judging by Bey and Jay's behavior at the BETs, Kim has a long way to go until she's accepted by Kanye's friends.
"They have been friends for five minutes, but already Kim is trying to force herself into Beyonce's life. She believes Kim is trying to buy her friendship through her daughter, and she's cooling to their friendship. Right now, Beyonce is on her guard. She's keeping her distance until she feels more trusting of Kim."
When Kim and Kanye first got together, there were several reports that she was desperate to be friends with Beyonce, so Blue Ivy might be on the receiving end of more inappropriate gifts, unless Jay-Z tells Kanye to tell Kim to cool it.
