I know you will all laugh at me for saying this, but I don't think I am alone when I say I find ATRL empowering.

Simply because there aren't many people in real life who are interested in pop music as heavily as I am (the only friend I have that is vaguely interested in pop music thought the Billboard 200 was a cereal bar).

So, I find it empowering to not feel like a freak for once lol! What about you?

No. But seeing all of the hate that my faves get makes me stan harder for them. That's about it.

Sometimes. But then sometimes the mods treat me like a basic bottom and that is not cool.

I kind of get what you mean. The internet in general empowers me cause it's so easy to find others with similar interests. It's not really specific to ATRL.

I doubt you're alone and it's nice that ATRL does that, but for me it's just more a place to chat about music or entertainment as said before.

No, not really. I visit message boards simply because most people I know in real life aren't interested in anything I find interesting. The thrill kind of slipped away over the years. I've been involved in online communities/message boards since 2002, IMDB being the first. Wow, I was only 12 when I started.
