They say that all rock stars want to be movie stars, and vice versa.
And it looks like Lana Del Rey might be getting ready for her close-up.
Today the crooner lunched in Paris with legendary Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein who was reportedly overheard at Cannes Film Festival telling her 'The camera loves you.'
The pouty 26-year-old, born Elizabeth Grant, looked retro ladylike with her brown hair in a sky-high bouffant topped with a tiara-inspired headband.
'He knows all about her music but believes she’s got what it takes to be a film star.
'She’s got the looks and a stage presence which he thinks will transfer well to the big screen.'
According to The Sun, the 60-year-old film producer was originally considering Del Rey for Lloyd Christmas’s love interest in Dumb And Dumber To, but then Jim Carrey dropped out after New Line and Warner Brothers did not show enough enthusiasm for the Farrelly Brothers sequel.
Dumb and Dumber co-star Jeff Daniels officially confirmed the film's demise to TMZ last week.
