White entertainment television would be racist, but BET is fine?
I'm just wondering how BET is not considered a racist channel, as they only air programs and award shows for Black people (Race Specific)... I mean just imagine a channel that would deny to air any "black" material from songs to movies.
Here what people had to say about the subject

I mean what difference does make what the name of the channel is called? For all intents and purposes it's still a Black channel. What so Blacks have to watch White shows or else they're racist? Just because White shows embrace the token minority character doesn't mean that they're not White shows and it's not like everyone on BET is even Black.

I am thinking of trying to file a lawsuit with the ACLU against BET for racism.The other night the tv station known as BET aired the Presidental address.They have never aired any other Presidental Address before no not Bush's or even Clinton's now is this just the double standard that whites are held to or what if there was White television network the name itself would be under lawsuits.If Fox only showed Bush's presidental address and not Obama's they would call it racism.The fact of the matter is this stuff has got to stop the whoa is me Im african American im a victim give me give me is BS and it is ruining this country.

BET = Black Entertainment Television
Is it racist to specify that a station is for the entertainment of a certain race? Does it imply that all shows on that station are geared to a certain race? Does it mean that all members of that race like and enjoy the types of programs seen on that station?
You'd never get away with White Entertainment Television. Spare the "everything is white entertainment television" responses, please.
