They can't be seen in the same way since one of hate towards people with same sexual preferences and other hate towards people from different races from yours. Both are some kind of discrimination, tho.

In General, racist people are very bad seen, and it shows ignorance, but if someone is homophobe, there's nothing wrong about it, it's not bad seen at all. (at least in my country). So I hope that Homophobia becomes the new Racism in the future.

Not really, it will be seen in the same light as sexism toward women. Homophobia has been going on for thousands of years, the same was as sexism for women. Racism on the other hand is a whole different ball game.
