Lady Gaga is not one to be messed with… if her fans don’t get you, her lawyers will!
Gaga Pure Platinum Cosmetics is being sued by the mother monster to get them to take “Gaga” off their name.
The company has apparently owned the registered trademark brand “Gaga Pure Platinum” for 12 years… way before Stefani Germanotta became Lady Gaga.
Now the company is enraged that Gaga is trying to take their name away.
They likely get a lot of business from people mistakenly thinking it is Gaga endorsed, so you can see why they are fighting this so hard.
In a statement the company said, “So much for her anti bullying campaigns because she is bullying a family business and her tactic is to lie by using fraudulent, baseless and groundless claims in federal trademark court so she can bully them with her fame.”
So here’s the thing, Lady Gaga probably has no idea this company even exists. More likely her lawyers found out about it and want it off the market so as to secure the Gaga brand.
“Once again she has copied yet another artist that came before her,” added the company.

That's actually a kind of tough situation. If they had the name before Gaga was famous, they should be able to keep it. But, I can see them making bank because of Lady Gaga because people will mistakenly think she's endorsed it. So that's not really fair. Also, if it's something Gaga isn't behind then I can understand her not wanting people drawing that comparison. However, perhaps a simple statement would do from her as I doubt it's going to harm her in any way shape or form.. and she certainly doesn't need to worry about the money that they might be making off it. I'm sure Gaga is aware of it though if her lawyers are going after it.
