Asap Rocky Gives Details About "National Anthem" Video !!!
A$AP Rocky is getting on his presidential swag with his latest role. The “Goldie” rapper stars as John F. Kennedy in Lana Del Rey’s new music video.
During an interview with 16bars.tv (via Rolling Stone), Pretty Flacko shared details about the pop starlet’s video for “National Anthem,” in which he plays JFK alongside Rey’s Jackie O.
“It’s some swag ****,” shared the Harlem MC. “I play JFK, she plays Jackie O. It’s some cool trippy ****, some real 2015 ****. People are gonna get it in like three years, and that’s the whole purpose of it.”
A$AP and Rey have also collaborated on “Ridin’,” a track originally recorded for the Kickdrums mixtape Follow the Leaders. He now plans to include it on his upcoming debut Long.Live.A$AP.
In an email to MTV News, he said he couldn't speak about the video "until I know when the release is." But rest assured, it's coming soon — and you're probably going to be talking about it for a long time after.
