Is there any skills or work by an artist that you just never understood the hype about? THIS IS NOT A BASH THREAD. This thread is to list things about different artist that you think aren't really worth the hype and praise.Here are a few of mine for example.

1.Adele's voice
Now I have the albums 21 and 19, and in my opinion Adele's studio voice is great, but her voice seems very over hyped. As a fan of vocal legends from the 90s and early 00s her voice doesn't really wow me, and I don't have the same reactions as many others. Am I say her voice is bad? OF COURSE not. But is it really worth the hype and praise? Music like hers in the current music scene seems god sent, so hey, maybe the hype is shock.

2.Lady Gaga's album "The Fame"
I am a Gaga stan, but I will be the first to say, The Fame, to me, is not all that people make it out to be. Yes it has it's gems like I Like It Rough, Paparazzi, Poker Face, and Just Dance, but I just didn't get the hype, It is a good album, and started the career of the most popular pop star on the planet right now, but it isn't ALL THAT.

3.Britney Spear's Blackout
I really only like 4 songs on the album, and I felt like is lacked smoothness and the track list was pretty messy. I would take In The Zone anytime over Blackout, but maybe that's just me.

The Fame sucks.

"Blackout" is a PERFECT album.

Everything right beside what you said about Blackout!

1. I don't really understand it either.
2. The Fame made dance music more popular, AND created Lady Gaga.
3. It had a huge influence in music.

The Fame has a lot of filler, but the standouts are ****ing incredible.

Agreed except The Fame - it deserves all the praise it receives. The four singles are pop perfection in the way that the Confessions singles are, and the album tracks are fantastic and varied.

The Fame has Brown Eyes, therefore it is ****.

Some people do the most when it comes to Rihanna's third best album, Rated R.

Blackout is a really good pop album, so is the Fame.

Blackout was the first album to have the same dance club pop that is runs rampant on the radio

The album was ahead of it's time

Adele's vocal talent - Has a lot of emotion in her voice but people act like she's one of the greatest vocalists ever or is the new Whitney when her vocal range is pretty limited.
Adele's songwriting skills - Are objectively good but it's pretty much the SAME themes in all of her songs.And her album 21 was basically 19.2 and wasn't even progressive,yet people act like she's one of the greatest musical genius to ever grace the earth.

There are many who's talents and skills are overrated but she's the most GROSSLY overrated one rn,imo.

The Fame Monster over The Fame and to be honest I just don't get the hype over Poker Face its so basic Bad Romance deserved number one over Poker Face

Are you serious? The Fame is 100000000000000x better than Blackout. And i'm not even a Gaga fan.

Both Beyoncé and Britney's dancing at any stage in their careers.
