The latest Pixar movie, "Brave", is set to be released on July 22th.
Despite the high anticipation and Pixar's well-known authenticity, "Brave" is off to a shaky start at the review board.



The first female-character driven animation from Pixar didn't seem to deliver poignancy.
On the contrary, it is being described by critics as shallow and subpar.
Do you guys think we are gonna get two rotten Pixar movies in tandem?

Poised to be Pixar's rebound from the critical disaster, Cars 2, Brave unfortunately wastes the studio's most winsome protagonist on their least interesting narrative, while appallingly dark 3D buries top-notch (if imaginatively confined) animation.

Pixar's latest ultimately offers nothing more than a caricature of a well-worn conceit.

A film that starts off big and promising but diminishes into a rather wee thing as it chugs along, with climactic drama that is both too conveniently wrapped up and hinges on magical elements that are somewhat confusing to boot.

BRAVE would be a pretty good Dreamworks movie, but with the Pixar history we hope for so much more.
