I'll be looking into this! I just finally downloaded and listened to all of St. Vincent's debut and I plan on getting the rest soon too, and I love it.
I loved David Byrne's album with Fatboy Slim, although that might have been because of all the cool indie people that contributed to the album. So hopefully this'll be good!
Okay I listened to this in full and I really like it! I like both of their voices, although I suppose I wish there were more tracks with both of their voices? Idk maybe it was a perfect mix and I just didn't realize, but that was my thought.
I love all the horns in it. Yeah. It's very good. I'm not sure which tracks are my favorite yet. I like Optimist probably because I am one and I loved St. Vincent's YEAHs in Lightning.
I probably prefer Strange Mercy too, but I feel like it's kinda hard to compare this to St. Vincent's solo work? For obvious reasons. Seeing this album live would be the coolest thing. Too bad the tickets are so expensive.

Yeah. Her solo tickets here in Toronto were $26,for David and her current tour it's $80-$90+ for good/decent seats.
It'll never top Strange Mercy because this is a duet album! I bet St. Vincent will upload the sound of Strange Mercy on the 4th album.
The album is actually good, it kinda reminds me the first St. Vincent album, at vocal level! Favorites: I Should Watch TV, Lazarus, Ice Age.
She probably does! I don't know for sure, but it sounds like typical guitar sounds that she would have in her own music and I'm sure David Byrne would have wanted her to be doing guitar work. I think she also said she does the guitar for the live show, so I wouldn't be surprised if she did the guitar stuff for the album.
