When did Madonna say artists shouldn't be inspired? Show me where she vehemently spit at Gaga's rip-off. Right. She ANSWERED a question about the similarities and basically said she didn't copy it good enough (aka reductive). Whereas Madonna's "inspirations", which received the same flack, were work of arts. This is why she includes "Respect Yourself" in her mash-up to show that artists recycle ****.

There's no hypocrisy, just stupidity (+insecurities) of those pushing this so hard.
