Madonna certainly is a woman of mixed messages. The Queen of Pop caused ruckus over the weekend by purposefully exposing her right breast while performing to an audience but apparently 'you don't have to show nipples to be interesting'.
In an interview obtained by ShowbizRaw.com, Madonna said the night before her show: "You don't have to show nipples to be interesting. It doesn't necessarily mean you're cutting edge if you do, right?"
Could this have been a dig at Janet Jackson's nipple slip during her half-time performance at the 2004 Super Bowl?
Well Madonna certainly didn't take any of her own advice! The singer was criticised by fans after she exposed herself during a recent show in Turkey on the following night (June 8).
One fan wrote: ''Isn't Madonna a little too old to be flashing nip on stage? With her kids in the background (as they're performing with her on tour?)''
And even Madonna’s arch enemy journalist Piers Morgan couldn’t resist a jab at the attention hoarding star, tweeting: ''Most embarrassing, cringe-worthy, desperate moment in the history of music?’’
This article makes it sound like she criticized nipple-flashing the night before her concert in Turkey. Wasn't that a quote from her Jay Leno interview before the Super Bowl?
Either way, it's hypocritical and desperate, but not quite as immediately hypocritical as this article makes it seem.
